Whether this is your toddler's very first checkup or you’re looking for a fresh start for your teenager, we want your first experience to feel less like a "doctor’s appointment" and more like visiting a friend.

1. What to Expect (The "No-Surprises" Plan)

We know that for kids, the unknown is the scariest part. Here is exactly how our first "playdate" will go:

• The Grand Tour: We’ll start by showing you and your child around. They can see the chairs, meet the team, and pick out a movie to watch!

• The "Tell-Show-Do" Method: Before we do anything, we explain it. We let them touch the "spinny brush" on their fingernail and see the "thirsty straw" (the suction) in action.

• A Gentle Cleaning: If your child feels ready, we’ll do a gentle cleaning and a fluoride treatment. If they aren’t ready yet? That is okay. We go at their pace.

• The Prize Chest: No visit is complete without a trip to the prize chest. Bravery deserves a reward!

2. Preparing for the Big Day

You don’t need to do much to prepare, but a little "prep work" at home can make a huge difference:

• Keep it Positive: Use words like "strong teeth" and "sugar bugs." Try to avoid using the dentist as a threat ("If you don't brush, the dentist will poke you!")—we want to be the good guys!

• Play Dentist: Practice "counting teeth" with a toothbrush at home while they lay in your lap.

• Talk About It: Mention that you’re going to see your "friends at the dentist" in Oviedo who are going to help keep their smile bright.
